It’s just so hard to spin the cranks while working with the bike on the trainer. Am I missing something?

I used to use RnR dry lube as well but just switched to wax (UFO). Much quieter and less frequency of reapplication. I just tape down 4 unbroken paper towel sheets underneath my bike to catch the flakes.

Chain is waxed and shifting seems smooth, however my whole setup “rumbles” whenever I’m on the big ring and lower gears in the back. I noticed this on my old 10 speed groupset as well. Is this normal.

There is a very good chance your creaking BB has nothing to do with your BB. Have your tried greasing your rear thru axle. Fixed my “BB” squeak immediately.

I usually take my “indoor” bike outdoors for about a 5-mile spin after installing a freshly rewaxed chain to avoid most of the break-in flaking, very minimal flaking after that, though that’s obviously not applicable for stationary bikes

No more grease marks/stains, drive train stays clean, that satisfaction of whisper-quiet confirmation of a well-maintained machine, but the biggest selling point is substantially reduced cost per km/mile for the wear and tear and extended life of chains, cassettes and chainrings. Given where SRAM has gone basically eliminating chainring-only replacement (and crank includes power meter), those replacement costs are headed in a nasty direction.

Exchange the fans! I switched from two large industrial fans to a single compact DeWalt centrifugal fan and there is a huge difference in noise. Already the two industrial fans produced different noise levels despite producing similar air flow and one was only marginally more expensive than the other.
