In the meantime I contacted Tacx support and after some troubleshooting, we forced a firmware update to an older version via the Tacx training app. This seemed to have done the trick. Haven’t tested it for long yet, but it seems much more stable now. Hopefully with the next firmware updates it stays like this. So a software glitch I think.

I think what you’re seeing is instant power from the trainer, updated multiple times per second. It shouldn’t be updating that often, but is for whatever reason. The good news is, I bet your average power is fine for your intervals, so you’re getting the desired workout done.

Hi there! I’ve got problems with the power measurements from my direct drive trainer into the Zwift app. It fluctuates quite a lot, especially when I’m trying to get the watts up, which is causing the “more power” message all the time. The one second it’s fine, the next it drops, to then be correct again. I’m using a Tacx Flux S trainer and an Apple iPad Air 5 with Bluetooth. ERG is on and in Zwift I’ve set to calculate every 3 seconds instead of instantly. If I turn ERG off, the power looks stable, but the ride is a lot different and not what I want. Anyone an idea what more I can do?

I need some assistance getting Zwift to work properly. I just purchased a Wahoo Rollr as well as a 4K Apple TV box. I have paired the trainer, my power meter, speed sensor and HR monitor. Everything seems connected perfectly. When I click RIDE the screen appears with my avatar, however, when I begin to pedal nothing happens. My avatar stays still while everyone else moves on. My power meter and speed sensor show connected, but I’m getting zero wattage and zero MPH. What am I doing wrong?

In reply to LindaC. Should work the same for both - just make sure you're connecting it as both the power source and controllable trainer on the pairing screen.
