In reply to Tony Brake. Tony, I owe you a drink of your choice! Your cue sheet got me through a long and challenging ride, and without it I would have taken any number of wrong turns. Thank you! Right around 30.4km there is a new turn option for Repack Ridge (which I avoided), at 37.8 there is a new option to take the Climb Portal (also avoided), and at 60.9km the turn now reads Fuego Flats rather than Winding Peak. Again, thanks for putting the time and effort into the navigation!

In reply to Steven. +1 I did The Snake yesterday and there are a number of inaccurate elements to the existing directions. Part of it is the addition of new roads like Repack Ridge and that short road past the bridge near the sprint, but there seem to be some directions that are just incorrect. A careful review may be in order.

All Rebel Routes are definitely an interesting challenge! I have done all the Watopia routes and have lead a few groups of riders through the maze. One thing has become very clear during that progression – “try not to rely on turn-by-turn instruction lists”. If you study and thoroughly learn the map of Watopia then you will know how each area of the map leads to the next and the turn selections become intuitive. If you know where you are and where you are going then you will no longer need a step-by-step list – just an overall grasp of the route plan. The map is not particularly difficult to learn, trust me!!
