These data serve as a nice to-do list for needed zwift route expansion.
* Crit City: add a second loop, allowing for more complex circuits
* Bologna: complete the Giro del’Emilia finishing circuit, a short additional climb followed by a highly technical descent back to the base of San Luca, allowing for circuit races.
* Paris: extend the route across the Seine to Tour Eiffel. This may be a bit more challenging than others due to the urban setting, but is justified by the 2024 Olympics.
* Scotland: add an additional loop climbing Crow Road, which was part of the 2023 World Championship course prior to the Glasgow circuit. Crow Road is already a portal climb.
* Innsbruck: they have the “short loop”. Add the “long loop” ridden by the elite men on their final lap. It is like the short loop but adds the Höttling, a steep 300 meter climb starting and finishing near the Leg Snapper.
* France: connect some of the gravel road stubs, and provide a climb from the base of Petit KOM to the Ventop climb near the train. This would allow for circuits with a longer, harder climb (from either side).

Others would suggest expansions of London, New York, Yorkshire, or Richmond. I don’t have solid ideas for these so I leave them off my list. I actually feel as if these, as-is, already provide decent maps. I suppose in London you could add Hyde Park near The Mall, assuming you wanted to stay in the real world.

John Mueller did a optimized routing for Yumezi https://johnmu.com/2021-zeo-in-makuri/
I followed his route (33 km) and tried to figure out a short route for Neokyo (24 km); for Urukazi it took me 21 km.

I recently road all roads of Watopia in a single ride, including Southern Coast. It took me around 161km. It didn’t feel like I covered many roads twice – apart from the ADZ decent.

Curious to know: What is the shortest way to ride all Watopia roads? Does anyone know?

I hope they will open the route/world creation for the community one day with an editor like e.g. Trackmania. Then their could be a public vote from Zwift users which routes to include in the official app. Why not have a community world?

In reply to Andy. How do you know what other people want? I assume there are many people that never have been to a velodrome and would love to try it out. And for others, while velodrome might be booked out, they might use it for training to get into the mindset. It doesn’t cost much to build a velodrome in digital. What I really miss is Zwift creating polls, asking the community what they should work on next. Ride on.
