This is really interesting…and is making me think hard about what to use for a 4 lap iTT on this course as part of the FRR Tour of Britannia. Did you happen to do a test of the Cadex Tri with the Lightweight Meilensteins? I’m set up with the Roval Alpinist right now (slightly more aero than Meilensteins), but now I’m second guessing myself.

In reply to Daniel Larson. Actually just did a race on TT bike go test.. went back after the race and did the tarmac bit on gravel.. 10s slower. So sounds right.

In reply to Eric Schlange. Gravel will be faster on dirt.. Just did an ITT on jungle lead in.. The TT bike was about 15 sec faster until start dirt. But in the end it was close.. Dont think it was much in it. Have also done a test on sea to tree.. although TT wil beat gravel by 10s on tarmac, it became quite clear that gravel would win..

In reply to Richard. Yes, I think so! There are different ways to approach bike selection, but using the bike to shore up your weakest points is definitely a smart approach.
