Hi Sam,

Assuming Zwift’s physics work like outdoors, then at 40kph on dirt, a 75kg rider (like Genie) would be putting out 131W to overcome Crr.

You as an 88kg rider would have to put out 153W. So a difference, but not a huge one.

That wattage difference will be even greater, though, on any climbs.

Genie is a staple bot for me and this AM 2 all out efforts on the Jungle Climb CCW and the pack just rode away from me. I’m 88 kg but at well above 300w genie never rides away on pavement. What is the math on the gravel specifically considering rider weight? Thanks!

If I can’t find a spreadsheet formula for it, I’m in trouble (I have dylexia’s cousin dysgraphia and have given up mental math.) At 10kph – a reasonable speed for a cat D climbing the Temple Climb in Yumzi, would the power saving be greater or less.

I realize this is three months after the fact, but the Tree is looming in ZRL again.

A shame. I liked using bikes for a specific purpose. Also, the z1 being as fast as a gravel bike or mtb on a descent is ridiculous.

I found the same. I’m north of 90kg and riding at ~2.2-2.5w/kg, did a swap on recent Fondo and was picking people off like crazy… only a couple re-passed me.
Feels like weight factors in somehow?? I’ve noticed this before when hitting other dirt sections, I have to up my effort to stick with those around me…

I go from front of pack to back of and and even dropped everytime I hit dirt. Anyone else face a bug where it hasnt updated that aspect? I’m leveling up past 60, so I’m a few updates last the lowered CRR. It is crazy how much harder I have to work to keep my position once the group hits dirt.

  1. The words on the pavement as you go up some hills are written top to bottom. IRL when people write on roads it is from the rider’s perspective, bottom to top. Can you fix that?
  2. A jersey for breakaways / attacks would be amazing. You already have some really cool ones.

thanks!!

I think it is rather relevant information needed when doing races on dirt surfaces. The route details are not updated so the information cannot be found there.

The MTB is faster according to tested lap times, but what about drafting? Does that favor Tron?
