I am sure you can pause between subscription periods, just as you can pause between monthly subscription periods. You cannot extend the month by stopping the clock mid-month and so I am sure that they would not offer that new feature for an annual subscription period (and it would defeat the purpose of offering a discount for those who commit to a whole year).

Well, technically you can do the same in relation to both types. “Pausing” a monthly membership merely means that when the month that you have paid for has expired, you do not renew again until you choose to do so (and Zwift will keep your profile alive in the meantime). It does not mean that you can stop the clock for one week in the middle of the month and then have the month expire 37 days after it started. Annual membership will work the same way, You cannot choose to stop the clock during the year, but you could choose not to renew immediately upon the expiry of the year, and thereby get a pause between one subscription period and the next.

Rouvy has a Black Friday deal for annual plan for 112 EUR. a bit better offer but still, an annual subscription is suitable for only a limited group of people and many prefer to skip the summer indoors.

I don’t ride indoors in the summer months, so it’s still not value enough to purchase for a year for me anyways. I get the attraction but it’s not enough to make me have the switch. I REALLY wish there was a family option. Why hasn’t this happened. Although I suppose it helps me in the long run cuz they use my profile to ride now. I get the bonus points and they get my physics.

Why would they offer that option? No one would ever sign up for month-to-month if you could get a big discount on an annual subscription and just pause whenever you want to.
