In reply to Peter. No, you only get credit for 50% of the normal elevation when you ride it at 50%. 50% literally scales the climb so it’s half as steep.

One more question on “farming”
Would it be an easier way to earn the tron bike using climb portals?
Or more precisely: are you still getting rewarded for the full ascent even if you have set the scale to 50% or is that one reduced as well?

In reply to Couch Potato. So i just did this cote de pike route. But it does not work anymore. I did not get any huge bonus , i got 5 10xp on each portal 9 8 7 and then no xp each time i passed the 9 8 7 portal. It seems zwiift fixed the "bug"

Can you do the climb on a TT bike so the arches only give xp bonuses?

In reply to Roja. Its not at 20% anymore since July 2023. I average about 1x 250 XP for every climb and agree with Tim, its more like 10% (29 climbs in January so far).

Which climb(s) are you doing?

I haven’t been keeping as detailed records as you, just mentally remembering if I got 0, 1, 2, or more than that large XP bonuses.I did Old Willunga twelve times. I think I got 0 one time, 1 most of the time, and 2 two times. My experience seems perhaps closer to 10%.

Perhaps when Old Willunga became the climb of the month they realized the potential and added an extra rule to decrease XP for climbs < 500 m of climbing?
